What is Low AMH ?

AMH determines the number of eggs left in the ovaries. More the value of AMH, more are the number of oocytes and less the value of AMH less are the number of oocytes. AMH (anti-Mullerian hormone) is a hormone produced by the granulosa cells of the follicles. Thus, more the AMH, more will be the number of follicles in the ovaries. AMH determines ovarian reserves. Patient with high ovarian reserves will have higher AMH and one with low ovarian reserves will have low AMH.

How to increase my AMH?

Low AMH means that the egg supply is less and there are less number of eggs left in the ovaries. But on the positive side, eggs are not over yet and hence, patients with low AMH can also conceive with their own eggs, they should just start treatment soon.
